2019 Contest Underway, Plus New Network

The 2019 fourth annual Spirituality and Public Health Student Essay Contest is underway (as of Fall 2019). Like last year, this year’s contest is open to graduate students who are enrolled in an accredited Public Health School, College, or Program. Please visit the website (below) and share widely among public health students, perhaps also alerting them to the new professional network and bulletin for public health and spirituality. Student Essay Contest: Spirituality & Public Health

A resource for writing essays is the recent book Why Religion and Spirituality Matter for Public Health: Evidence, Implications, and Resources, published by in 2018 by Springer International (see contents and ordering information HERE), which complements earlier books such as Religion as a Social Determinant of Public Health (2014).

All essays must be submitted through the above website by January 5, 2020.
